Mandurah Injury Matters have launched their latest Stay On Your Feet falls prevention campaign and have invited senior residents to a free morning tea.
The Remove Hazards campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of safe environments to prevent falls and promote healthy ageing, mainly supporting eye and foot health.

The event will include a presentation, information stalls, and a live question and answer session with an occupational therapist, optometrist and podiatrist.
Injury prevention Manager Rachel Meade said older adults are more likely to be injured in a fall and has encouraged seniors to attend the event.
“One in three people over the age of 65 have a fall each year, with some resulting in serious injury and hospitalisation,” Ms Meade said.
“The campaign provides realistic steps everyone can take to reduce risks [sic].
“We are encouraging people to take the opportunity to get out of the house, come down to this safe community event and learn something new about removing hazards [sic].”
