Man captured on CCTV stealing items out of a ute in Dudley Park

A man has been captured on CCTV allegedly stealing items from the back of a ute parked in a Dudley Park driveway.

About 6.40am on August 21, a man approached a vehicle on Blythwood Street Dudley Park and allegedly lifted the tied down straps on the back of the tray.

Police allege the man grabbed a 40-litre portable fridge and a set of LED lights valued at more than $3,500 dollars.

He fled the scene juggling the items on a bicycle.

A look at previous CCTV from the premises showed a man approaching and casing out the vehicle about 3.15am on August 16.

He looked at items in the rear tray, however, the items were secured which meant he was unable to remove them.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as; light skinned with a thin-medium build, he appears to have a large tattoo on the outside of his right forearm and was witnessed carrying a dark coloured backpack.
