Mandurah Detectives have charged a man after an elderly driver was allegedly threatened with a brick and had his car was stolen in Mandurah on Wednesday.
Investigators alleged the man threatened the 87-year-old male driver with the brick while he was in his car parked on Allnutt Street.
Detectives said as the elderly driver got out of the car, he fell to the ground and “was extremely shaken by the incident.”
It’s alleged the offender then drove away in the man’s car before it was located a short time later at a nearby shopping centre car park.
The 35-year-old man from Greenfields has been charged with Aggravated Armed Robbery and is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today.
