The RAC Rescue helicopter was forced to land on a beach south of Mandurah after a girl was injured while surfing on Saturday.
Paramedics were called to White Hill 4WD Beach in Bouvard following reports a surfer was injured just before 1pm.
A St John Ambulance spokesperson said the Rescue helicopter had landed nearby to assist the teen with neck injuries.
The 17-year-old was flown to Royal Perth Hospital with suspected spinal injuries.
