Officers from the Drugs and Firearms Unit uncovered
Gas cylinders, a garden hose, chemicals, and a child’s lunchbox were some of the items seized from home after police swarmed the Adelong Avenue property just before
Specialist chemical police in protective equipment poured liquids into flasks and test tubes while investigators scoured through bins gathering evidence.
There was a significant police presence along the street with a gazebo and several police vehicles including a forensics van, police drugs equipment truck and a hazmat trailer as officers disassembled the suspected lab.
Investigators spent several hours at the residential property located metres from a children’s playground and Comet Bay College.
It’s understood three people were taken into custody for questioning while a fourth remained under police guard at the scene.
Sources revealed to Skeer Media some neighbours were considering moving out after constant issues with a man and woman who reside at the property.
Although WA Police have disassembled the alleged chemical lab, officers are yet to determine what it was used to manufacture.
Police told Skeer Media chemicals and evidence would need to be tested before any serious charges were laid, the process expected to take up to a week.
