Falcon supermarket worker threatened with knife during robbery

Detectives are investigating after a staff member was held at knifepoint during an armed robbery in Falcon on Tuesday afternoon. 

Police were called to the Falcon IGA along Old Coast Road following reports a man with a knife had demanded cash from staff about 3:30pm. 

Skeer Media understands a man, aged in his early to mid-20s, entered the store and threatened to slit a female staff members’ throat as he demanded money. 

It’s understood the man managed to flee the store with more than $1000. 

Investigators have described the offender as olive skinned, about 170 centimetres tall, with a slim to medium build and short dark hair. 

At the time of the offence, he was wearing dark long pants, a fluorescent yellow/green top with a dark coloured lower half, a baseball cap and sunglasses. 

Forensic police spent the evening at the scene as they gathered evidence.
