A man and woman have been injured after a 4WD crashed down an embankment near the Mandurah Estuary Bridge on Saturday.
A Toyota Prado is understood to have left Mandurah Road, crashed through a wire fence and down the embankment near Waterlily Drive, several metres before the bridge in Dudley Park.
Firefighters came across the crash and located the passenger, a woman, on the ground about 2:45pm.
Crews initially thought the woman was ejected out of the vehicle but Skeer Media understands she jumped out of the moving 4WD to avoid impact.
Police say it was lucky the 4wd didn’t roll.

The woman sustained head, shoulder and rib injuries.
It’s understood the driver, a man, had a medical episode while behind the wheel.
St John Ambulance took the two to Peel Health Campus with non-life-threatening injuries.
