Detectives are investigating after a man woke up with a fractured face in a Mandurah car park on Saturday.

Mandurah Detectives said the man left a tavern on Mandurah Terrace with two friends as the venue closed.

The group then walked to a nearby car park before the man’s two friends left in a ride-share vehicle.

About 11pm, the man woke up in the car park with serious facial injuries that detectives believe are consistent with being assaulted.

He stumbled to a nearby fuel station to get help where St John Ambulance and police were called.

The 26-year-old suffered a broken cheekbone and a fractured eye socket and was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital where he has since undergone surgery.

Mandurah Detectives would like anyone with information, or who may have witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1800 333 000 or by making a report online at crimestopperswa.com.au.
