Detectives are investigating after a man woke up with a fractured face in a Mandurah car park on Saturday.
Mandurah Detectives said the man left a tavern on Mandurah Terrace with two friends as the venue closed.
The group then walked to a nearby car park before the man’s two friends left in a ride-share vehicle.
About 11pm, the man woke up in the car park with serious facial injuries that detectives believe are consistent with being assaulted.
He stumbled to a nearby fuel station to get help where St John Ambulance and police were called.
The 26-year-old suffered a broken cheekbone and a fractured eye socket and was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital where he has since undergone surgery.
