Car pulled from water after overnight Mandurah crime spree

Police have pulled a Toyota Hilux out of a Mandurah canal which is related to a series of violent robberies and several car thefts througout the Peel region overnight.

Police divers spent the afternoon recovering the allegedly stolen Toyota Hilux with the assistance of a large crane.

It’s understood this is related to six incident which occured overnight.

Mandurah Detectives are investigating.

Incident One:

Happened between 10pm on Thursday and 3am on Friday at a home along Chepstow
Drive in Mandurah.

The offenders foreced entry to the home and stole a handbag and car keys which they used to take a Mazda CX3 found at the home.

The Mazda was recovered in Baldivis on Firday.

Incident Two:

About 9pm, at a home along Sapphire Close in Wellard.

Two men entered the home, and threatened a man in his 20s before allegeldy stealing a silver Toyota Hilux. No one received injuries as a result of the incident.

Police divers and forensics spent the afternoon recovering the Toyota from the water of a Mandurah canal near Donnelly Gardens in Dudley Park.

Incident Three:

About 10:10pm, at a home on Surf Drive in Secret Harbour.

Two men entered the home, stole a handbag, threatened a man and assaulted a women in their 40s before leaving in a silver vehicle.

The women received minor injuries.

Incident Four:

Occurred about 10:55pm, at a home on Bortolo Drive in Greenfields.

Two men entered the home but were disturbed by the occupant (man in his 20s) before leaving the area.


Incident Five:

About 11:10pm, at a home along Darwin Terrace in Dudley Park.

Two men forced entry to the home and verbally threatened a father and son before stealing a black Mitsubishi Evolution.

The Mitsubishi was recovered on Chepstow Drive in Mandurah.

Incident Six:

About 12:30am, (Friday June 28) at a home along Eighty Road in Baldivis, Two men forced entry to the home and were disturbed bya man in his 40).

The men attacked the occupant however no injuries were received.

The men stole a Holden Clubsport before leaving the area.

Detectives believe these incidents are linked and would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the times of these incidents and have vision / dashcam footage of the men or vehicles.
