Women set upon by gang of youths during South Street robbery in Murdoch

Fremantle Detectives are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred on South Street in Murdoch on Sunday.

About 6:45pm, a 19-year-old woman was walking from the Murdoch Train Station towards Murdoch University. 

The woman reported that a group of female youths followed her before she was dragged to the ground.

The group forcefully took the woman’s handbag before leaving in a direction away from the train station.

The group is described as being in their early to mid-teens.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time, who may have seen a group of youths or anyone who has dashcam footage in the vicinity of the Murdoch Train Station near South Street that may assist with their investigation.
