Detectives hold concerns for mother of a baby left at medical centre

Fremantle Detectives are appealing for the mother of a newborn baby left at a medical centre to come forward.

About 8am, the baby boy was found in a cardboard box with a note outside a medical centre in Booragoon.

The infant was taken to the Perth Children’s Hospital and appears to be in good health.

Concerns are held for the mother of the child as she may require medical attention.

Police are asking her to contact them.

If the mother of the child does not wish to contact police she’s urged to contact the Department of Communities on 9431 8800 or after 5pm, Crisis Care on 9233 1111.

Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the mother is asked to call police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au. Callers may remain anonymous if they wish.
