Detectives are investigating after a police motorcycle was rammed in a Golden Bay traffic stop on Friday.

About 5:40am, a traffic officer pulled over a dark blue Subaru on Mandurah Road several metres north of the Dampier Drive intersection.

It’s alleged, the Subaru reversed into the motorcycle and sped off after the officer dismounted the bike.

The officer was not injured in the incident.

Forensic police spent the morning gathering evidence at the scene.

The Mandurah Road northbound left lane was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
