Update: Three charged after shots fired at Port Kennedy home

Residents escaped the Port Kennedy shooting unscathed

Port Kennedy residents received a rude awakening on Sunday when shots were fired at their Bounty Court home.

Rockingham Detectives have revealed that about 3am, a shot was fired through the front window.

Several bullet holes and a large crack were visible from the roadside.  

On January 28, Rockingham Detectives, with the assistance of the Tactical Response Group, executed two search warrants in relation to the incident, and took several people into custody.

Detectives charged three people in relation to the incident.

A 37-year-old man and a 27-year-old man from Port Kennedy and a 29-year-old man from Spearwood have each been charged with:

  • Possess Firearm with Circumstances of Aggravation
  • Possess Unlicensed Firearm
  • Unlawful Act or Omission with Intent to Harm (endangering life, health or safety of any person)
  • Criminal Damage

The three men were refused bail and will reappear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court on February 1.
