Two children have escaped serious injury after a two-car collision in Mandurah on Friday.
It’s believed an Opel Insignia went through the intersection of Aldgate and France Street and crashed into the side of a sedan that children were passengers in.
About 4.55pm, it’s alleged a female p-plate driver was traveling west on Aldgate Street when she crashed into the side of a Ford Falcon heading south on France Street.
The impact spun the Ford Falcon around and sent the Opel Insignia into nearby bushes.
Two children believed to be aged ten and thirteen that were passengers in the Ford received minor injuries and were taken to Peel Health Campus for further assessment and observation.
A local resident said he feared the worst when he heard the two cars collide.
He said it’s the third accident at the intersection this year and something needs to be done about it.
Police are investigating.
